Ana Julia Quezada, the woman accused of the murder of 8-year-old Gabriel Cruz, is to go on trial in the coming days.
The case, due to be heard in Almeria, will see the defendant face charges of murder, illegal detention and obstruction of justice. It’s understood a full trial by jury is to be held for the case.
A regional search for the child was launched in February 2017, after he went missing whilst playing at his grandmothers house. His remains were discovered in the boot of Ms Quezada’s car when she was stopped by investigating officers.
