Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has said he expects Britain and the European Union to progress soon into the next phase of Brexit negotiations, despite Prime Minister Theresa May’s problems in getting the political backing at home to move ahead.
Rajoy was on a visit to London on Tuesday, when he met the British PM in Downing Street.
The visit came a day after an agreement failed between the UK Government and the European Union.
