Protesters have marched in madrid demanding that the government fulfil its pledge to give shelter to refugees from war-torn countries like Syria.
Several thousand marchers made their way along Madrid’s Gran Via street, to complain that Spain has only taken in 10% of the number it agreed to.
The march comes after 160,000 people took to the streets in Barcelona to demand quicker action by Spain on the humanitarian crisis in the middle east.
