Two children and one adult, all female, have died after being trapped inside a cave that had been set alight in Almeria.
The victims, understood to be 12, 14 and 21 years of age, are all understood to have perished when a sofa was set alight at the mouth of the cave.
The alarm was raised on Monday night at around 8pm. When emergency services arrived they were told that there was people inside the cave. Despite the swift actions of firefighters, all three trapped inside had died from the fire.
A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder, and has been remanded in juvenile custody.
