Firefighters in the south of the country are battling wildfires raging near the Doñana nature reserve.
About 2,000 people – many of them on holiday – have been evacuated in Huelva province.
The blaze broke out on Saturday night near Huelva in the Andalusia region and may have been started deliberately.
Doñana, a Unesco heritage site, is famous for many migratory birds and rare Iberian lynx.
Staff at a captive breeding facility evacuated nine lynx.
