The Ayuntamiento de Marbella has announced that it is expanding it’s search and rescue service next year, after a busy summer season.
18,311 incidents were attended to by emergency crews between the 1st June to the 15th September this year. Nearly 500 people were treated for jellyfish stings, however in previous years that figure was well over 5000.
A million euros has been earmarked for next years operation, it was announced this week by the head of Civil Protection, Jesus Eguía.
