Police say a British father and son are facing fines of up to €600,000 for allegedly pointing laser pens at planes as they came in to land.
Policia Nacional have arrested two people – a father and his child – for shining a laser pen at pilots of aircraft as they were coming into land at Malaga airport last Tuesday.
The suspects were spotted by an off duty officer who was staying in the same hotel in Torremolinos as the two detained. It’s alleged that they were shining green lazer pens at landing passenger aircraft from the balcony of one of the rooms.
When arrested, the individuals were found to be in possession of two high powered lazer pens.
