Works to improve and tidy the public spaces across Murcia have drawn to a close before the peak summer season, with the city council pruning over 100 palm trees, as well as tidying parks and weeding flower beds.
Works on the main motorway junction into the city to improve the look of the area have now been completed, as has fumigation against Red Weevil.
Over the past year, 12,267 palm trees have been tended to by city authorities as part of ongoing maintenance and care.
