169 people are understood to have died in the Catalan regions roads last year, after data was released yesterday by the Generalitat.
The news came after nationwide figures were released at the start of the week.
The number of deaths has risen 9.7% compared to last year, but have fallen 31.3% compared to 2010.
46 of those who lost their lives on the regions roads were bikers.
As well as fatalities, 773 people were injured on the region’s roads, a fall of 13.7% compared to 2016.
