Policia Nacional have detained seven crew who were in charge of a boat that was found to contain over three tonnes of cocaine.
The ship was monitored off of the Canary Islands by customs, Guardia Civil and Policia Nacional, before being raided in a joint operation with the Colombian drug agency DIRAN.

Officials found 165 individual packages of cocaine weighing 23kg – a total of 3.7 tonnes – concealed beneath the vessel’s cooking area.
The drugs were found inside a water tight compartment after it was brought to Cadiz for a full forensic investigation.
It is not clear where the drugs were being taken to.
