In the Canaries, a yellow weather alert for strong winds and heavy rains has been issued for today for the western islands, including the north of Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Many of the warnings extend into tomorrow.
An amber weather warning for rough seas and strong winds has been issued for the Costa Blanca, with Alicante expected to be hit by storm force 8 winds and waves of up to 3 to 4 metres in height.
