Calls received by 1-1-2 Canaries in other languages increased by 21% last year, according to data released by the Canarian Government.
The service operates in five different languages – Spanish, English, German, French and Italian.
Calls made in English continued to rise, up nearly 70% on the 2016 figure. In total 12895 calls were made in a foreign language over the last year.
