Aviation giant Airbus has announced that 800 jobs will be lost in their Spanish operations due to a fall in orders of their A380 Superjumbo and the A400M military aircraft.
In total 3,700 jobs will be lost across the continent as the aircraft builder redistributes operations.
The plant which builds the A400M in Seville is expected to bear the brunt of losses in Spain. It’s hoped that those affected may be moved where possible to other roles within the consortium.
