13 paratroopers, seven Spanish and six American, have been injured during a military exercise in San Gregorio de Zaragoza, the military have said.
It’s understood an unexpected gust of wind blew a number of paratroopers off course, causing them to land dangerously at around 11.15am yesterday morning.
Whilst there were no reported serious injuries, one soldier was knocked unconsious in the incident, and was admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
The military exercise had over 600 American and 100 Spanish troops involved in it.
